Innovation is driven by passion and curiosity" - Dan Brown -

A&G IS CONSTANTLY COMMITTED TO RESEARCHING NEW TECHNOLOGIES BY COOPERATING WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF TRIESTE AND TAKING PART IN RESEARCH PROJECTS (NOT LEAST POR-FESR FVG) FOUNDED BY THE EUROPEAN UNION.

Our research activities are aimed to improve the effectiveness of our products with the constant research of new industrial technologies, materials and improvement of production phases.
The highlights around which we develop our research and development are:

  • FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS
  • SIMULATIONS
  • PROTOTYPING SYSTEMS
  • ANALYSIS AND VALIDATION RESULTS

CAD-CAE software for assisted design of an innovative electromagnetic stirring system

CAD-CAE software for assisted design of an innovative electromagnetic stirring system

Description

The project is part of the implementation of software tools for CAD-CAE assisted design of electromagnetic stirrers or “stirrers”, equipment used in the production of high quality steel.

Target

The development of computational tools to facilitate the design of a new modular stirring system that allows the company to perform a proper sizing with significant cost and timing reduction for its subsequent production.

Results

The new stirrer shape, which will be designed with the help of the computing systems developed under this project, will be much cheaper and easier to implement, easier to handle and install, and will have more performance and significant benefits in the application to vertical casting systems compared to circular stirrers.
